The ‘Your Money Team’ from Poole Housing Partnership can help anyone across the Borough of Poole to access benefits, debt advice and budgeting help.
  • Finance checks – we can visit you in the privacy of your own home to check benefit entitlement.  This can include in work benefits / pension age benefits /  health and disability benefits / housing related benefits
  • We can help following a bereavement   
  • Assist with benefit application forms e.g. Personal Independence Payment and Attendance Allowance forms
  • Assist with benefit appeals
  • Carry out ‘what if’ scenarios to see how benefits will be affected after a change in circumstances e.g. those considering going  back to work, relationship breakdown etc.
  • Check if you could save money by swapping to a water meter
  • Compare utility suppliers to see if there is a cheaper deal
  • Help you to understand the impact of Welfare Reform and discuss your options
  • Discuss budgeting and help you to improve your own budgeting skills to make your money go further
  • Signpost you to free debt advice and talk you through the process
  • Give advice and alternatives to avoid payday lenders and loan sharks
  • Provide information on the local Credit Union as an alternative way to bank and manage your money
