Poole Crematorium is situated on the outskirts of Poole on the A349 Poole to Wimborne Road and on the edge of Canford Heath. It is owned and run by Poole Council for the Borough of Poole and was opened in November 1985.
The grounds have a tranquil and natural atmosphere having been left as a natural woodland setting to fit in with the local habitat which is predominantly SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) heathland on the edge of Canford Heath. The design of the building was carefully considered so that it too would fit into the natural landscape.
There is ample parking available and the grounds are open for public access at the following times:
Summer (1 May - 31 August) - 10.00 am - 8.00 pm
Winter (1 September - 30 April) - 10.00 am - 4.00 pm
The Crematorium Office is open at the following times:
Monday to Friday -
9.00 am - 5.00 pm
