Fine, golden sand, gradual sloping beach and clean, safe water make Shore Road Beach an ideal place to visit.
Water sports hire and tuition is available nearby and there is a dedicated 'launch' zone for windsurfers.
Off the sand there are a variety of places to sit and enjoy the view from the Sands Brasserie at the Sandbanks Hotel to the lively atmosphere at Jazzy's Café, there really is something for everyone.
Lifeguards are present at the Shore Road Beach Office from 1st May to 30th September and observe the area which are clearly marked by the 'Red and Yellow Flags' from 10am - 6pm. Please do not swim when the red flags are flying.
From the 1st May through until the 30th September there are also beach wardens on duty at the Beach Office to assit you in your visit to the beach.
