Peacock Tearooms - Learing Disability Work Project
The Peacock tearooms are situated in the grounds of Upton Country Park. People with learning disabilities receive supported training and work experience in the catering trade. The tea rooms are open 7 days a week throughout the year and can get very busy during the summer months. If you are interested in catering, with our support you can:
- Gain real work experience
- Meet members of the public
- Handle money and learn how to use a till
- Build your confidence
- Learn food preparation and presentation skills
- Gain a certificate in Food Hygiene
